Varsity wins 4-0 vs Anoka

JV wins 4-1 vs Anoka

The MGFC B Squad also defeated a strong Anoka team 2-0 on Saturday morning.   JT House had 2 goals.  Coach Nichols was impressed with the teams work rate and stated "some really solid defending starting with goalkeeper Noah Germanson kept us in the game and we finished our chances."    The win improves the  B Squad record to 4 - 1 - 5.

Congratulations to the MGFC Freshman team who won their first game tonight with an 8-1 win over Irondale.

volunteer opportunities

Check out the volunteer tab for ways to help out this year!  We need ball chasers and game day announcers and a lot of concession help.  We have 8 games to cover with 3-4 concession workers per game.

Coach Turner named ACOY for 2016

Junior Varsity coach Justin Turner was named Assistant Coach of Year for Section 8AA.  

Coach Turner posted a 14-1-1 record this year with a solid JV team. Coach Turner has been with MGFC for 8 years now and has a combined  95-15-15 record.   The ACOY of the State will be named at the ALL State Banquet on Sunday.  Congrats to Coach Turner and the whole JV squad.

Mr Soccer Finalists Named

Congratulations to Sr. Cpt. Ryan DeBois for being named a Mr. Soccer Finalist.   The winner will be announced at the All-State Banquet on Sunday.

MGFC has only had one other Mr. Soccer finalist when Sr. Cpt. Kevin Hoof was named in 2014.  Chad Morse was named Mr. Soccer when he won the honor in 1998.
