Maple Grove Clinches 2025 Section 5AAA Title with 2-1 Win Over Mounds View!
Maple Grove is heading to state! The Crimson secured the 2025 Section 5AAA title with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Mounds View.
Everett Johnston set the tone early, threading a perfect pass to Parker Carlson in the 23rd minute, who finished calmly to give Maple Grove a 1-0 lead.
After Mounds View leveled the score, the Crimson struck back quickly. Luke Bottema delivered a pinpoint cross to Carlson, who fired it into the net for the game-winner — his second of the night.
Congratulations to Maple Grove on their section title and trip to the state tournament!
